In whatever their respective sport, local athletes finished off their seasons at SHSAA Track and Field Provincial Championships in Saskatoon this past weekend.

The Rosetown Royals finished seventh in the province looking at the team scores from this past weekend. Impressive performances earned them a top ten finish, closing out what was a very strong track and field campaign in 2024.

A few Royals athletes set records as Rosetown held the sectional meet back on May 24. Rosetown then ran away with the team score at districts the weekend of June 1.

The next highest west-central finishers in the team category was Outlook High School at #40. Unity finished #48, Wilkie finished #54, and LCBI Outlook finished #55. Next was Delisle at #87, Luseland at #91, and then Dinsmore, Kyle, and Elrose tied with Kipling in spot #120. Continuing down the list Biggar finished at #131, Lucky Lake at #165, Kindersley at #177, and then Perdue, Beechy, Eatonia, and Leader were in the bottom twenty.
