toys for kids

Board games have been a popular Christmas family favorite. Hungry Hippo is great for smaller children, and Monopoly remains popular for the whole family.

Action figures and playsets are good choices for kids at Christmas. Lego is always offering a new product for creative minds, and the Disney Encanto themed playhouse is sure to be a hit. Always be aware of the recommended age from the manufacturer, as some can pose a choking hazard or have sharp edges.

As of yet, no toy recalls have been announced for this year. Keep in mind that if your child is between the ages of 3 and 6, Child Safety Central advises avoiding marbles, balls, and games with balls that have a diameter of 1.75 inches or less in order to prevent choking.

What to get for the guy who's got it all

You tend to hear people lament the fact they need to buy a gift for a man who has everything he needs. Don't give up and buy another sweater. Here's a few ideas that might spark more ideas, and every man can use another pair of slippers.

  • shaving kit and accessories
  • meat slicer
  • blanket or pillow
  • portable speaker
  • cooler

Although a puppy might seem like a great gift. Pets aren't Presents.  Many animal shelters see an increase in animals being dropped off directly after the holiday season.
