May 27th and 28th, Outlook will host the West Central District Track and Field Meet. West Central Saskatchewan is chock full of top flight athletes and this year's meet promises to be no different. Last year, the West Central District won the provincial track meet on a per-capita basis. The athletes who perform the best at this meet will move on to the provincial track meet in Regina the following weekend.

Dinsmore has some athletes of note that will be using this meet as a tune-up of sorts before moving on to provincials. Jordan and Kennedy Mann are stellar throwers that are expected to do quite well. Matthew Jones will be a top contender in the javelin and 100 meter sprint categories. Jay Evans is an all around athlete who expects to be provincial bound in multiple categories. The senior boys 4x100 relay team from the West Central District is poised to go out with a bang this year as it is their last year together after competing together for the past three years. Matthew Jones, Jae Evans, Shane Lafontaine and Kevin Stockman have medalled in years past at provincials and all are excited and ready to go.

The boys are looking forward to one last shot at Gold as a foursome in the Senior division at the SHSAA Provincial Track and Field meet in Regina on June 3 and 4.
