The Rosetown Redwings senior hockey team were back on the ice last Saturday in opening weekend action in the Sask Valley Hockey League. The Redwings took care of Loreburn easily 8-2 at home with Zach Douglas and Justin Fox leading the way with three goals each in the victory. Spencer Gilchrist had a goal and an assist and Kyle Ireland had three helpers in the win as well.  Justin Gauthier was steady in goal with 21 saves in the win.

The Redwings are back in action this weekend as they will head to Kyle to play the defending Sask Valley Hockey League champion Elks on Friday night at 8 pm. They will then play at home on Sunday against the Delisle Bruins at 3 pm to finish off the weekend.
