One of the biggest events in Outlook took place this weekend with the 5th consecutive year for the Outlook River Run fundraising event that benefits buildings within the town.

This year, all proceeds are going towards the Outlook Museum for interior parts of the building. There is a plan to create a ramp to make the museum more wheelchair accessible, as well as electrical work and more exterior work to make the Museum look more presentable on the outside.

The goal was to create $3,000 throughout the entire day to get put towards the Museum.

There was a separate 2 Kilometre walk/run, as well as a 5 Kilometre walk/run to give all participants a selection to choose what's more suitable for them. Around 100 people participated in the run total.

This year was different because the Harvest Festival was joined up with this event. There was entertainment all afternoon long following the races, with a lunch and ball hockey tournament taking place as well. Later in the night, there was a dance to follow up the long day of events.

More money was raised this year compared to year's past due to the Harvest Festival joining up to create one special day in the town.
