Last Thursday was an entertaining day for students of Kindersley Composite School (KCS). It was the last day of classes before the first string of final exams starting the following day.

So, why not have a little fun, right?

The time capsule held a number of items including VHS cassettes, a school-made banner, and magazines from 1992.

A pep rally was organized for the student body Thursday morning to get spirits high on the last day. One of the main highlights from the assembly was opening a time capsule created by KCS students and teachers from the 1992 school year. A barbecue was organized by the Student Leadership Committee for an afternoon meal. It was a great way to end the school year.

This time of the year can still prove to be either stressful or relieving for students. It is a different feeling for every student; everything from grade twelves looking forward to finishing high school and moving on to the next chapter of their lives to other students getting pumped up for the summer holidays.

Studying may be about posing questions with a group of friends, taking short breaks between sessions or grabbing some extra sleep. Whatever it is, teenagers have different ways to prepare for exams.

A number of students from KCS took time to share their thoughts on this time of the year with West Central Online. Whether they discussed their study habits during the year or how they are feeling heading into exams, this is what they had to say.

Kevin Pinno - grade 11

Keely Klein - grade 11

Sidney King - grade 9

Jocelyn Cannon - grade 11

Delaney Chaluck - grade 11

Sarah Schmaus - grade 12

Good luck to all students with final exams and have a safe summer holidays!
