It will be a busy weekend in Oyen, Alberta as they will be celebrating the Oyen minor hockey weekend starting Saturday morning at the Oyen & District Memorial Arena. First action will start at 11 am with the Initiation teams playing each other followed by the Novice teams battling each other at 12:15 pm. Then the Atom 5 team will take to the ice in a match up with Brooks at 1:30 and the Pee Wees will wrap up the day against the Okotoks Gold team at 3:45 pm. The action continues on Sunday with a pair of games starting at 11 am as the Atom 3 team will be playing Irvine and the Pee Wees will play right after at 1:15 against the Okotoks Green team at 1:15 pm to wrap up the weekend in Oyen.

In the Bantam division of the Hi-way 14 hockey league it will be a busy weekend for teams in the West Central region. The Good to Go Bantam Klippers have a pair of games this weekend starting at home versus the Biggar/Wilkie team starting at 5:15 pm. The Klippers will then travel to Luseland to take on the Kerrobert/Luseland Tigers at 4 pm Sunday to wrap up their weekend. The Bantam Klippers are lead offensively by Coen Gartner and Rhys Bacon who both have 4 goals and 2 assists in 5 games played for the team. The Good to Go Bantam Klippers have a 2-2-1 record after 5 games played this season. Unity leads the league with a 4-0-2 record with Macklin right behind at 3-0-1 and Eston at 3-2 to round out the top teams in the Bantam division.
