The Biggar and District Museum has a new exhibit which showcases farmyards from years past, and compares them to the same farmyards at present to see how they have changed over the years.

Delta Fae Cruickshank with the museum, explained they were trying to come up with ideas to avoid having an empty gallery and one of the board members brought the past and present farmyard idea forth. From there, Cruickshank said she put out a 'plea' before Christmas to have people submit photos of local farmyards over the years, which resulted in several entries and ultimately, the new exhibit.

Cruickshank expressed she is very excited with this new exhibit for the museum and said there are some pictures from as far back as 1912, which she says is 'very cool.'

The exhibit is open 1pm-5pm every weekday afternoon with COVID guidelines in place.
