Unity, Wilkie, and Macklin RCMP responded t a number of Mental Health Act complaints in the first week of February. From February 2 to February 8th, Unity RCMP responded to two such calls. In one of the instances the subject of complaint was transported to Battlfords Union hospital for assesment. RCMP mebers also responded to a similar call out in Macklin. Again that call resulted in the subject of complaint being transported to Battlefords Union Hospital for assesment.

Here is the full breakdown of the report:

UNITY

  • RCMP received a report of a break and enter into a rural outbuilding near Unity. This matter is still under investigation.
  • Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.
  • Members received a report of an individual tampering with a residence door lock but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
  • RCMP are investigating a complaint of sexual harassment.
  • Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.
  • Members received a complaint of a hit and run causing damage to a vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.
  • RCMP received a complaint of a burned out vehicle abandoned in a rural area near Unity. This matter is still under investigation.
  • There were also four false 911 calls and one traffic complaint.

WILKIE

  • RCMP charged a 30-year-old male from Wilkie with Assault and Fail to Comply with Probation Order after Members received a complaint of assault.
  • A 61-year-old male from the Unity area was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle after Members received a report of a vehicle in the ditch near Wilkie.
  • There was also one traffic complaint and one false alarm.

MACKLIN

  • RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.
  • Police received a report of a stolen utility trailer. Insufficient evidence to proceed.
  • Members also received a complaint of a stolen dump trailer. There are no suspects at this time.
  • RCMP attended a fire in a residence garage. Macklin Fire Department extinguished the flames. The fire was not suspicious in nature.
  • Members acted as a mediator between two individuals discussing a property exchange.
