Volleyball is in full swing in the West Central region with a tournament in Unity this past weekend. In Unity the Sr. boys ended up first after the round robin and defeated Neilburg to reach the finals. In a hard fought match the boys came up short losing to John Paul II from Wilkie in the finals and earning the silver medal. In other action the Unity Junior B girls played in Maymont on the weekend playing five games in all. They won a set in each game but could not pull off a victory. The Unity jr. A girls traveled to Macklin to compete in a 12 team tournament on the weekend as well. The ladies finished 3rd in their pool and went on to capture 2nd place after a 3 set battle with College Park from Lloydminster.

In Kindersley there was lots of volleyball going on as well. The Jr. girls hosted a tournament this past weekend and had great results. The girls came out on top taking first place for the weekend. The Jr. boys were successful as well as they traveled to Dinsmore and took first place at the tournament. The Jr. girls continued their action against Plenty yesterday after school and the Sr. girls A and B teams are headed to Eston to play and the Jr. boys team is playing at the Elizabeth Middle School as well.
