Kindersley’s Dakota Buttar broke out of the gates for the 2020 PBR Canada season already claiming the number one spot in the country. Buttar is already being described as unstoppable with his two flawless rides at the Lloydminster PBR Winter Classic.

Buttar not only led the leaderboard in round 1 with an 85-point ride, he also secured the event high-score in round 2 with an 89-point ride atop a bull who bucked off 7 of the last 11 bull riders who attempted to reach the 8-second buzzer.

The Kindersley bull rider earned himself 350 Canadian points, surging to the No. 1 ranking in the Canadian national standings. Buttar also pocketed just over $3500 and put 15 world points towards his PBR world rankings.

Fellow Saskatchewan bull riders, Jared Parsonage of Maple Creek and Todd Chotowetz of Major, both earned themselves a top 10 finish at the event as well. Parsonage finished in fourth place in Lloydminster, while Chotowetz rode his way to ninth place in the event.

The next stop for the PBR Canada tour will be in Calgary at the end of January.
