Hockey teams in Rosetown are enjoying a nice holiday break before getting back on the ice in 2022. Kevin Clark, an executive for Rosetown Minor Hockey, touched base on how the season has gone for all leagues so far in 2021.

“We have been lucky so far and haven't had to take any COVID related action within minor hockey yet. We haven't had to shut down, we haven't had to postpone anything yet, so we've been lucky that way.”

Minor hockey isn't the only level of competition going on in Rosetown. The senior Rosetown Redwings of the Sask Valley Hockey League are also back after taking the last season off. Clark discussed the reception for the hometown team.

“They're having close games, and seem to enjoy playing again and the community enjoys having senior hockey back in town.”

Clark also added that their Chase The Ace fundraiser for this year is a successful one, thanks in part to people being more familiar with how it works.

"Our week 10 jackpot this year is now at about the $8200, whereas our Week 10 jackpot last year was at about the $4500 mark."

Throughout the month of January, Rosetown will be host to a number of games and events:

January 15th - U18 AAA girls game.

January 14th-16th - minor hockey weekend.

January 22nd - U7 Tournament.
