Connor Tate, a local golfer out of Kindersley, Saskatchewan just won a prestigious tournament in Carstair, Alberta. The tournament, the 2016 MJT Prodigy Series / IMG Academy Junior Worlds Qualifier at Carstairs shows very well on his golfing resume. Connor estimated there was about 32 golfers in his division for the tournament. He shot a 75 the first round leaving him one stroke behind the leader. The next day Connor shot a 74 including a huge 50 foot chip in for eagle which helped spur the big win. With the big win, Connor has his eyes set on qualifying for the Callaway World Junior Championships held at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, California.
