Saskatchewan Agriculture has released another crop report showing the wet and cool weather has slowed harvest progress down. The provincial progress is at 84% combined, and the West Central region isn't that far behind at 81%. The five year average for this time of year is 83% combined, most producers will need at least another week or more of warm and dry weather to complete the harvest.

Crop yields vary throughout the region due to the wet conditions this fall. According to the report, 18% of hard red spring wheat that has been harvested so far will fall into the 1CW grade, 43% into 2CW, 29% into 3CW and 10% into CW feed. The recent rain has also bleached and sprouted the cereal crops that are still in the field.
