The Town of Rosetown was all a buzz as CTV Newscasters Rob MacDonald and Chatel Huber made their stop yesterday.
The two were escorted around town by Mayor Brian Gerow and Council member Tim Askin.
CTV also stopped in at Rosetown's Walter Aseltine Elementary School as they were
having a Green and White day to show their Rider pride.
Laurie Slocombe, principal at Walter Aseltine Elementary, explained that they have even fashioned a sort of football field in the long hallway of the school.
The main event took place at 5:00 on main street, as residents came out for a barbeque and to watch the CTV 6:00 News be presented live on the air. Rosetown did not disappoint, as people from the crowd were interviewed as to why they thought Rosetown should be named Riderville with enthusiasm and pride.
The CTV News crew will now move on to other West Central communities including Kenaston this Thursday and Biggar on Friday, where they will also broadcast the 6:00pm News live.
