Sask Environment has issued a a bottled water advisory for the town of Rosetown.

The EDR treatment process failed late last week due to problems with the power rec-defyer and power regulator.  There are still screens and filters to remove iron and magnesium but there will be no EDR treatment of water which removes the high concentration of sulfates in our water.

The water is not toxic to individuals, but due to a high concentrate of sulfate and sodium in the towns water, it may cause discomfort and upset stomach in the elderly and infants. However the water is still safe to use for washing and cooking, and residents are advised to purchase bottled water until further notice.
