U13 AA

The West Central U13 AA Wheat Kings had a busy weekend, with three games played from December 3 to 5. First up was a matchup with the Prince Albert SFS Greyhounds, where West Central came out on top 7-5. Leading the way for the Wheat Kings was Graydon Neumeier, who potted four goals, along with one assist in the victory. Both Landon Reschny and Max Douglas each had a goal and an assist as well. 

Then on Saturday, the Wheat Kings headed to Melfort to take on the AA Mustangs. Both Kaine Thiessen and Taylor Neumeier scored twice for West Central, as they cruised to a 7-2 win. Also scoring for the Wheat Kings was Kort Partington, Graydon Neumeier, and Cohen Dufault. 

And wrapping the weekend Sunday, was a date with the Warman Wildcats on the road. This time the Wheat Kings were unsuccessful, falling 8-2 to go 2-1 on the weekend. Scoring for West Central against Warman was Taylor Neumeier and Max Douglas.

Taylor Neumeier and Max Douglas lead the way for the U13 AA Wheat Kings with Neumeier collecting 11 goals and 17 assists for 28 points in 15 games so far. As for Douglas, he leads the team in goals with 15, to along with 12 assists for 27 points also in 15 games played. 

Emeri Cowie has a 4-2 record between the pipes, with Carson Fortin sitting at 3-5-1 early on this season.

West Central currently sits with a 7-7-1 record after 15 games this season.

Next action for the U13 AA Wheat Kings is home game against the Northwest Stars in Dodsland at 5:30 pm Sunday.

U15 AA

The West Central U15 AA Wheat Kings were idle this weekend, after a 4-2 defeat at the hands of the Saskatoon Outlaws on November 27. 

Leading the way on the scoresheet early on this season are the Perlingers, with Cobe collecting 15 goals and 13 assists for 28 points in 10 games played this season. Right behind Cobe is Cam, who has 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points in 10 games this season. Keegan Nash is third with 9 points in 10 games from the blueline. 

Drake Chester and Jaden Blanchette are splitting time in the net, with Chester holding a 2-1-1 record with a.887 save percentage , and Blanchette carrying a 2-3-1 record, sporting a .900 save percentage. 

Next action for U15 West Central Wheat Kings is a pair of home games this weekend. First in Macklin at 5:00 pm Saturday against the Yorkton PAC U15 AA Terriers, and then on Sunday in Dodsland against the Notre Dame U15 AA Hounds at 2:00 pm.

West Central is currently 4-4-2 after 10 games this season.

U18 AA

The West Central U18 AA Wheat Kings are coming off back to back victories this past weekend, knocking off North East 3-1 on the road Saturday, and the Prince Albert Lakeland Towing Vulcans 5-4 on Sunday. 

In a combined effort, three different players scored with the Wheat Kings on Saturday, as Hunter Sperle, Spencer Kreiger, and Austin Shepherd all scored in the win. Blake Sittler got the win between the pipes.

Then on Sunday against Prince Albert, Hunter Sperle got the hat trick, including the game winner. Austin Shepherd had two goals and an assist, and Leighton Partington and Kaden Veller had two assists in the victory.

Next action for the U18 AA What Kings is a midweek matchup with the Saskatoon Riverkings in the Bridge City at 8:00 pm Wednesday. Before two more games on road, first in Melfort against North East Saturday at 8:45 pm, and then at 1:30 pm Sunday against the Humboldt U18 AA Broncos.

Hunter Sperle is having a great season for the Wheat Kings so far, scoring 21 times, and adding 9 assists for 30 points in 20 games played this season. Also having another solid season is Austin Shepherd, who has light the lamp 15 times this season, and has collected 14 assists for 29 points in 20 games played. Third on the team in scoring is Leighton Parrington, who has 11 goals and 17 assists for 28 points in 20 games played, and in fourth is Landyn Nash, who has 12 goals and 12 assists for 24 points in 19 games played.

The U18 AA Wheat Kings currently hold a 10-8-2 record after 20 games heading into Wednesday's game against the Riverkings.
