Hundreds of proud Canadians made their way in to Eatonia at one point or another over the weekend to take part in the 150th Anniversary of Canada's Birthday. Canada Day fell on a Saturday this year, so instead of having just one day of celebrations, the town of Eatonia decided to do something special for the incredible accomplishment.

The party got started right away on Friday evening with live music being performed by Mitch Larock and the 4:54 Band. A large crowd gathered to catch the musical performance, and then were given quite a firework show afterwards.

On Saturday, there was a full entire day of events going on in the town. The people started their day off with a pancake breakfast right at 8:00am in the morning, and then started to prepare themselves for a parade taking place at 11:30am on Main Street.

All afternoon, kids remained busy with activities from 1:00pm - 4:00pm with bouncy castles, fun games to remain active, and just enjoying themselves in the beautiful weather.

If you were looking to buy or sell, there was a Show n' Shine taking place from 11:30am all the way until 4:00pm. Many adults participated in the event, and enjoyed a wide variety for selection.

To top off a long day, there was a supper running from 5:00pm - 7:00pm to fill up everyone before the day came to a finish. The majority of people stayed at the event for the entire two days, and didn't think twice about heading home.

Of course, throughout the entire day on Saturday, the Big Ball Bash took place with teams playing one another on the baseball field. Anyone could enter a team, and were guaranteed at least two games of baseball. Festivities got going bright and early at 8:00am and closed out around supper time with the final game.

Throughout the celebrations, many Canadians will never forget this weekend and how proud they are to be from this country. Canadians will continue to celebrate their own countries birthday of 150 years by attending other events in the future.
