It was a quiet week for the RCMP members in Unity, Wilkie, and Macklin. The last few reports have been filled with reports of stolen vehicles, investigations into break and enters, and suspicous vehicles being seen in the area. The most recent report, ending December 2nd, paints a much calmer picture.

Unity:

  • RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.
  • Police received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer near Denzil. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance purposes.
  • Members located a horse out of the pasture near Highway 14 west of Unity. The animal owner was notified.
  • RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision north of Unity. There were no injuries. This matter is still under investigation.
  • Police received a complaint of a missing person. This matter is still under investigation.

Wilkie:

  • RCMP received a complaint of trespassing but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
  • Police executed outstanding warrants for an individual at the request of Moose Jaw Police Service during a traffic stop. The vehicle driver was also issued a traffic ticket.

Macklin:

  • RCMP received a report of fraud. Information sent to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
  • Members are investigating a complaint of theft from a motor vehicle.
  • RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision in Macklin. The vehicle driver was issued a traffic ticket.
  • Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Emergency Medical Services transported the subject of complaint to Provost Health Centre for assessment.
