Biggar Town and Country Fair Days

Biggar's annual Town and Country Fair Days is back with a bang this year. Well, more like later on Friday night when a fireworks show takes over the football field at approximately 10:30 PM.

Before the big fireworks show Friday will feature food trucks and some popcorn for sale, along with a BBQ as each stand will send proceeds towards a local group.

Saturday starts off with a pancake breakfast at the local museum from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM, just before the parade kicks off. Another BBQ will fire up on Main Street after the parade. Outside of the all day carnival and outdoor petting zoo, the "Fiber Fair" and also a free swim from 2:30 to 4:30 are some of the other highlights.

More activities on Sunday will help close out the weekend that you can view through the link above, including a car show running run on Sunday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Eston Summer Kickoff

Eston is using their own calendar this weekend for their official kickoff to summer in the community.

Their summer kickoff begins tonight at the Eston Fairgrounds with some baseball action.

The U11 Ramblers will open things up on the diamond, and then the Senior Ramblers will take on the Kyle Yellowjackets at 6:30. Concessions will be on hand as people in attendance try to beat the heat.

Saturday will kick off with a pancake breakfast in town. The day will also feature a petting zoo, inflatable play places, a toonie swim, and street hockey. The main activity sees an all day slow pitch tournament, and another baseball game sees the local Rally Cap team up against Elrose.

At night they are inviting residents to "Rock ‘n Roll with Charger", and food trucks will be available all weekend long to satisfy some cravings.

The action doesn't stop at midnight, as Sunday will see the slow pitch finals commence to finish off the west-central community's annual jump into the summer season.

Rosetown Museum Days

In Rosetown they are hosting Museum Days!

They will run from 2:00-6:00 PM Sunday, admission at $5.00 per person.

A special guest performance sees the Saskatchewan Plains Dance Group taking the stage at 3:00 PM, and the night will finish off with a group supper.

The Tea House will be open as well, officially opening their doors for the summer on Monday, June 12.
