The calls to service for the Rosetown RCMP from December 29, 2023, to January 4, 2024, started off with a report of an abandoned vehicle in Elrose on December 29. The matter is still under investigation. Also occurring on the 29th was a traffic complaint on Highway 4. Members located the vehicle and issued a traffic ticket. And the day wrapped up with a report of an erratic driver on Highway 7 near Harris. Members were unable to locate the vehicle.

Moving onto December 30, there was just one call which saw a report of a break and enter to a business in Rosetown. Members attended and charged a 32-year-old male from Hoosier with Mischief under $5,000 damage to property and released for court.

New Year's Eve saw two calls, starting off with a complaint of a hit and run at a parking lot in Rosetown. The matter is still under investigation. And the other call was a request for a wellbeing check in Rosetown. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

New Year's Day saw two calls as well, starting off with a report of a break and enter to a shop near Elrose. An ATV, Sea-doo and farm equipment was stolen. If anyone has information regarding these stolen items, please call the Rosetown Detachment at 306-882-5700. The other call was a complaint of an erratic driver on Highway 7 near Harris. Members were unable to locate the vehicle.

January 2 saw just one call as there was a report of a sudden death of a 73-year-old male from Rosetown. The death was not suspicious in nature.

And the week wrapped up on January 3 with a report of a motor vehicle collision with a deer on Highway 7. There were no injuries, and it was reported for insurance purposes.

There were also 58 Traffic related charges issued, two false alarm calls and one 911 miss-dial call during the week.
