The Kindersley Jr. Klippers and Flin Flon Bombers battled it out last night in the first SJHL playoff game in Kindersley since 2019.

The largest crowd of the season for the Jr. Klippers witnessed the visiting Bombers getting on the board first, as captain Justin Lies beat Klippers goaltender Cody Jaman to make the score 1-0. But on the powerplay Kindersley finally put one past Flin Flon goalie Harman Laser-Hume, as ex-Bomber Brock Mueller put in a rebound to tie the score at one. Logan Linklater and Tylin Hilbig picked up the assists.

Things stayed that way until the Bombers Carter Anderson started off his nice night with a goal late in the second to give Flin Flon a 2-1 lead.

Things stayed close until the third when the first overall Bombers took over, as Koen Senft, and Anderson on a beautiful breakaway goal made the score 4-1 for the visitors. Kindersley did not go quietly, as Nathan DeGraves scored a powerplay marker with the assists going to Tylin Hilbig and Mueller. But the final goal was scored by Connor Ryan just over the halfway point of the third and the Bombers skated away with a 5-2 victory.

Flin Flon can complete the sweep Wednesday night at the WCEC. Puck drop is 7:30 pm.
