It has been foggy for the past few days in west central Saskatchewan and Environment and Climate Change meteorologist Terri Lang talked about the forecast for the next few days and what fog does to effect driving and other daily activities.

“There is going to be a lot of low cloud, and fog patches and mist patches and frost covering the trees, and cars and roads and stuff like that, and it should continue for the bulk of the week,” she says.

“When there is a lack of a weather pattern coming through, low pressure systems and winds tend to stir things up and get rid of fog and low clouds, but we don’t have any of that coming until Thursday,” she says.

She also talked about the danger the frost and fog can have on the highways as well.

“That’s why we are seeing the icing on the trees and that type of thing, so if you can see it on the trees you know it’s happening on the road, we will probably have these tricky road conditions until at least Thursday,” she concluded.

Weather is supposed to be above seasonal up until the weekend and it is expected to drop to more seasonal temperatures next week, Lang lastly said.
