The Unity, Wilkie and Macklin RCMP released their recent report of calls for the week ending November 11, 2019.

Highlighted in the report is a number of calls related to the theft of fuel. There were three reports of fuel theft from vehicles in Unity, and stolen fuel from a gas station in Wilkie. There was also a call of stolen fuel from a gas station in Macklin, but before officers to investigate the matter the individual had returned to pay.

Also highlighted in the report was a call of an individual seeing a cougar in the Reward area. RCMP notified Saskatchewan Environment about the sighting.

The remaining calls for the three detachments include:

Unity:

  • There was a complaint of a vehicle driving into a rural farmyard. Members patrolled but could not locate the vehicle.
  • Members received a complaint of trespassing but the subjects of complaint were gone on arrival.
  • Members received a request to dispose of unwanted firearms.
  • Members are investigating a break and enter at a residence in Unity.
  • Police received a report of a two vehicle collision in Unity. There were no injuries. This matter is still under investigation.

Wilkie:

  • RCMP received a complaint of an individual attacked by a dog. This matter is still under investigation.
  • Members spoke to an individual regarding family safety.
  • RCMP received a report of an individual kicking a residence door in Wilkie. Members attended but the subject of complaint was gone on arrival.

Macklin:

  • RCMP received a report of a semi in the ditch on Highway 14 near the Alberta border. Members attended but the semi was gone on arrival.
  • Police received a report of a vehicle collision with a moose on Highway 17. There were no injuries.
  • A 28-year-old male was charged with Fail to Comply with Condition of Recognizance after receiving a report that the male was driving in a rural area near Macklin, after being charged November 1st with Flight from Police and a number of property related Criminal offenses. The 28 year old was taken into custody again.
