The Rivers West District in partnership with Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association and the City of North Battleford is holding HIGH FIVE PHCD (Principles of Healthy Child Development) and Play Leadership Workshops at the Don Ross Centre in North Battleford on June 4th and 5th, 2016.

HIGH FIVE PHCD

PHCD training is for front-line leaders working with children ages 6-12. This one day training helps front line leaders identify exactly what children need to have a positive experience. HIGH FIVE training is for front-line recreation, sport and after school leaders to learn how to incorporate the Principles of Healthy Child Development into their everyday programming. Play Leadership

Play Leadership Training ensures that Play Leaders have the knowledge and skills necessary to plan and coordinate safe, accessible and enjoyable play opportunities for children. The training consists of 5 modules, each dealing with a core competency for the play leader. The 5 modules include: Working with your Community; Engaging all Children; Playing with Children; Planning for Play; and Developing your Skills.
