The Kindersley Jr. Klippers and Notre Dame Hounds duked it out on the big 200 by 100 foot sheet of ice at the Dunc Tank Friday night. Things were scoreless after one, thanks to the superb play of Kindersley goaltender Logan Falk, and Notre Dame netminder Johann Tremblay-Kau.

Things finally opened up in the second after the Klippers were caught with too many players on the ice, and it was Jacob Ligi who got his 6th of the season on the powerplay, as he fired it over the left shoulder of Logan Falk, who made a couple of splendid saves before that to keep the Hounds at bay.

Notre Dame doubled their lead on a beautiful play by the captain Jaryd Sych, who walked around a couple of Kindersley players and drove to the net. Falk made the first save, but Carson Baylis started his big night against his former team, putting in the rebound.

The third saw the Hounds put this game to bed on a 2-on-1, with leading scorer Will Dawson getting a nice pass from Marko Djordjevic shorthanded. The Klippers got one late off of a faceoff win by Logan Linklater in the offensive zone, as Tylin Hilbig fired the puck past a surprised Tremblay-Kau. However, the Hounds answered back just over a minute later, with Baylis getting his second of the evening.

The Klippers pulled their goalie late, and put some pressure on Notre Dame, but it was all for not, with Baylis getting the hat trick into the empty net. The three goals were Baylis' 14th, 15th, and 16th of the season, and must have been extra sweet against his old team.

Kindersley will look to salvage the last game of their four game road trip in Weyburn Saturday night. Puck drop will be delayed due to it being Parents/Billets Weekend at Crescent Point Place. So, tune into the Murlin Electronics pregame show at 6:55 pm.
