The Kindersley Jr. Klippers and Melville Millionaires tangled in a tight matchup at the West Central Events Centre on Saturday night. Melville got on the board first on a funny goal by Noah Wills at the 14:42 mark, as it went off of his shoulder and in on a shot by Payton Kostyshyn.

Kindersley tied it just over two minutes later at the 16:54 mark, as Tylin Hilbig got his second of the season, on another strange bounce, with the assists going to Aidan Bangs and Cash Arnsten.

Then in the second period, Louis-Frederic Theberge took a seeing eye shot from the point which beat Logan Falk, who was making his first start for Kindersley, to give the money men the lead once again at the 4:50 mark.

The third period saw a slough of goals and a parade to the penalty box for each team. Spencer Paplawski scored at the 1:45 mark to tie the score for the Jr. Klippers on a rebound from a Kyler Smith shot. Melville retook the lead on Noah Wills' second goal of the game on a wraparound, with the assist going to Theberge. Kindersley had countless chances to tie, and finally did on a late powerplay with the goaltender pulled, as Tylin Hilbig got his second of the night on a jam play to tie the score, and send the game into overtime.

No goals were scored in the extra session, and for the second straight game, Kindersley headed to the shootout. Unfortunately for the Jr. Klippers it was another loss, as they could not score on Melville goaltender Kelton Pyne, with the shootout winner going to Noah Wills.

Kindersley will have to regroup in a hurry, as they head to the SJHL Showcase to play La Ronge tomorrow at 4:30 pm.
