The Kindersley Jr. Klippers will return to action tonight, in their first game of the 2024 portion of their schedule. It will be a road matchup against the Nipawin Hawks, a team they are currently tied with in the SJHL standings with 30 points.

The teams split their first two games of the season, both winning on home ice, with Nipawin winning 7-1 on September 29, and Kindersley winning on Halloween, 5-3. 

Logan Linklater leads the Klippers in scoring with 12 goals and 37 points, while rookie Keenan Ingram leads the team in goals with 18 and is second in points with 35. Veteran Tylin Hilbig rounds up the top three in scoring for the Klippers, with 15 goals and 30 points. 

The Hawks are led by Braxton Buckberger, who has 13 goals and 37 points. Both teams are hungry for a win, as Nipawin has lost four in row, while Kindersley has lost two in a row. 

Kindersley has already matched their win total from last year, as they are sitting at 13-15-2-2 heading into tonight's game, while the Hawks are 14-16-2-0, with both teams tied for 6th in league standings.

Game time from Centennial Arena in Nipawin is 7:00 pm.  

Also announced by the Jr. Klippers and the SJHL was that netminder Cody Jaman was named SJHL goaltender of the month for December. Jaman went 2-2 with a pair of shutouts and a sparkling 1.36 GAA to go along with a splendid .953 save percentage. The 19-year-old goaltender allowed just 6 goals in 264 minutes of work overall. 

And Jr. Klippers forward Brock Evans was named Klipper of the month for December as he put up 7 points in 7 games including 3 assists in one game versus Estevan on December 2.
