On March 23th Kerrobert Composite School sent 19 students and 14 adult chaperones on their annual Europe trip. The students had an amazing time and visited parts of Spain and Africa.

After changing flights twice they arrived at their first stop in Barcelona, Spain, where they slept for the night, got to tour the city in the morning and were left some time to explore the city before moving on to Valencia. They arrived in Valencia to be greated by the warm temperature which was around 27 degrees.

Their next stop was in Granada where they saw the Alhambra, a moorish palace with beautiful gardens and one of the oldest buildings in all of spain. From there they traveled to Morocco in Africa, here they rode camels and received a tour of the Medina Historic Center. Here they saw the vast market and try some of the local foods.

After this they went back to Spain where they visited Seville, the capital of southern Spain’s Andalusia region. Here they visited the tomb of Christopher Columbus and saw another Moorish palace called the Alcazar.

The final destination for the group was Madrid, the capital of Spain. In Madrid they visited the Royal Palace and the Prado museum, one of the best museums in the world.

That concluded their amazing trip, they arrived back home on April 2nd in the Saskatoon airport and were all very tired but thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
