Kindersley Composite School staff and students took part in some Pride Month festivities yesterday.
Pride Month runs all June long, as Kindersley residents were invited to dress up and make a sign with a positive message and join the KCS contingent for a special parade.
They received a police escort away from the school, and members from the marching band led them on a fun short walk through the east side of Kindersley. Local mental health advocate DJay McGrath was just one non-student in attendance.
A quick search online shows Pride Month began after the Stonewall riots, a series of gay liberation protests in 1969, and has since spread outside of the United States.
