On Wednesday the team swung a trade with the Notre Dame Hounds. The Klippers traded away two prospects from their 2023 draft class, SAAAHL players Jonah Pinel and Kai Packet, for a third round pick (2008) in this year's SJHL draft.

Kindersley now has pick #25 in the 2008 portion of the 2024 SJHL Draft. The SJHL Draft is split in two, as this year teams will draft two rounds of 2009 born players, then six rounds of 2008 born players.

Other SJHL teams have been extra busy as well ahead of the draft. Other recent notable moves include the Battlefords North Stars acquiring the first overall pick in the '08 draft, and the Weyburn Red Wings bringing former Kindersley Klippers forward Keenan Ingram back to the SJHL after he was traded to the Fort McMurray Oil Barons last season.
