The Kindersley Jr. Klippers announced two additions to the team as SJHL rosters unfroze to start June. Completing the January trade that sent forward Keenan Ingram to the Fort McMurray Oil Barons, the Klippers were excited to announce Demitri Diflorio and Shayne Tibbles as the "future considerations" return package in their first move of the off-season.

The January trade also saw the Klippers receive now graduated defenseman Simon Diaz, who proved to be a steady piece on the team's back-end during their run to the playoffs. Klippers head coach and GM Clayton Jardine provided the following statement with the transaction now complete.

“We really enjoyed Simon Diaz, and he brought a lot to our back end. Being able to add players like Demitri and Shayne to this trade five months ago was a no-brainer for us, and we are excited to welcome them to the Klipper family." said Jardine. "We are adding over 125 junior games of experience to our lineup, plus leadership. Both Demitri and Shayne are excited about the opportunity, and I cannot wait to begin the season with them in late August.”

Beginning with Diflorio, the American born skater is listed as both a forward and defenseman, and most recently put up 18 points in 47 contests in Fort McMurray with the Oil Barons last season. The other acquisition Tibbles comes to the Klippers with a few years of junior hockey experience in Drumheller, Okotoks, and Whitecourt. The Calgary native has put up 30 points in 82 career games across 3 seasons in the AJHL. Tibbles also enjoyed a nice playoff run this with the Whitecourt Wolverines, collecting seven points in 16 games.

The added experience should help the Klippers next season as they look to build off a playoff appearance. Read more below, as the Klippers also added several players back in April following their spring camp.
