West Central Online Studios got a special visitor Friday afternoon, as Matthew Dickson, a man who is biking across Canada to raise awareness for schizophrenia, stopped in.

Dickson is from Saint Andrews, New Brunswick, flew to Vancouver in early June, and has been slowly making his way through the mountains and sweltering heat of British Columbia and Alberta before arriving in Saskatchewan.

This is something the New Brunswick native has wanted to do since he first did so over thirty years ago, and he finally felt he was in good physical and mental shape to do so once again.

Dickson wanted to first point out, one of the myths of schizophrenia, is that all people with the disease are violent, which is not true.

In another part to this great story, Dickson met Bushman Art between Kindersley and Alsask. Bushman Art came into the West Central Online Studios earlier to discuss his walk across Canada for mental health awareness.

Listen to my full conversation with Dickson below.
