The Luseland Grads will be having a different 2020 ceremony like everyone else in the province, and the country, but some great ideas were brought forward by the Grad committee to celebrate the 2020 class.

Luseland teacher and Grad committee head Janine Gourlie explained what all is going on for the 2020 Grads.

"We're starting to update our social media with a grad-a-day spotlight that will profile each of our grads ahead of the celebrations at the end of the month, both on twitter @SchoolLuseland and our school Facebook page. 'We will also be posting up signs on the school lawn, one for each grad with their name and photo. And finally, we are doing Stage Crossing Ceremonies over the course of a few days where our grads will be invited to come to the school at a scheduled time with their immediate families, and each will have an opportunity to cross the stage and be awarded their diploma with Sharla Knorr (Vice Principal) and Kyle Wood (Principal), as well as pose for a photo.'

Gourlie added, "once all grads have done this, we are compiling a grad video that we will post up to our grad website at the end of June. 'Our grad website will also include a video compilation of well-wishes from their family, friends, teachers, and community members. There is interest in a banquet in the fall as well, but plans for that are tentative right now as we wait to see what the future brings.'

It will a different experience for all schools in the west central area, and the Luseland School appears to geared up for the special 2020 graduation ceremony and celebration of their 2020 graduates.
