Another U18 AA West Central Wheat Kings player is headed to the next level.

The team announced on Monday that forward Kaegan Lowe is signing with the Battlefords AAA Stars. The forward played two seasons of AA with the Wheat Kings, collecting 23 points in 26 games in his first year, and then exploding offensively with 42 points in 32 games this year.

Lowe joins teammates Kaden Sperle and Austin Schafer, who signed with the AAA Stars back in April, keeping the west-central pipeline going. Those three Wheat Kings will look to impress at AAA and earn a spot after U18 hockey, perhaps following a recent example of Austin Shepherd who moved on from his final season of U18 with the Stars, to now playing in the Centennial Cup in his rookie SJHL season.

Lowe also opened scouts eyes as part of this year's Sask First competition for male U18. Lowe was in attendance alongside his fellow Stars commits Sperle and Schafer, and two other Wheat Kings in Jaden Blanchette and Chase Weinkauf.
