It has been a very good Victoria Royals WHL camp for Macklin native Cole Reschny.

The slick forward managed to put up a pair of assists in the Royals annual intersquad game back on Tuesday and hopes to make impact as a 16-year-old player in Victoria this season.

The Royals could use Reschny's scoring touch, as they finished with a 17-43-6-2 record in 2022-23, which was second last in the WHL's Western Conference.

Reschny talked to the media after Tuesday night's intersquad game. Listen to the interview below.

The Royals will begin their preseason tomorrow night against the Prince George Cougars. The regular season for the Royals begins September 22 on the road against the Vancouver Giants.
