Curtis Granderson provided the game's biggest hit at the Midsummer Classic.

He slapped a one-out triple in the eighth and scored the tie-breaking run on Adam Jones' sacrifice fly.
Granderson helped the American League  improve to 12-0-and-1 in the last 13 all-star games by edging the National League 4-3. Carl Crawford was the MVP. His leaping catch in the seventh robbed Brad Hawpe of a home run.

Blue Jays' pitcher, Roy Halladay, made his first start in an all-start game, and was touched for three runs on four hits over two innings. Toronto's second baseman Aaron Hill was 0-for-3 in his first all-star appearance.
