The Sun West Distance Learning Centre is starting off the new year on a productive note.

The centre is planning to expand its online course options for all students enrolled in the distance learning program.

Starting in the second semester, over 100 online courses will now be offered to students in the areas of food studies, finances, practical and applied arts, autobody and language.

Courses include Christian Ethics 10, Equine 10 and 20, Astronomy, Paleontology, and Communications Media.

For the first time, Core French 1 will be an online language option offered at the centre.

A dual-credit course partnered with the University of Saskatchewan is also offered -Introduction to Business -which will allow students to acquire both high-school and post-secondary credits.

Currently over 500 students that are enrolled in the Sun West Distance Learning Centre are enrolled in at least one online course or program; approximately fifty of those enrolled are mature students.
