Opposition NDP leader Carla Beck put some pressure on the Premier last week to officially call the upcoming by-elections.

“Under this government life has gotten more expensive and families are falling behind. Utility bills are up, fuel prices are up, tuition is up. Many Saskatchewan patients can’t access a family doctor or specialist. These are things the government can help with and they should. It’s time to send this government a message that they are failing,” said Beck. “Saskatchewan deserves better.”

The three open seats are Lumsden-Morse, Regina Coronation Park, and Regina Walsh Acres.

Each party finalized their candidates during the month of June, though as Beck touted there is no timetable for the by-elections to be held.

The nomination process has been taking place all over the province with the next election only 15 months away, as we have been following the nomination for the new constituency of Kindersley-Biggar closely in 2023.

Kindersley MLA Ken Francis will be leaving office at the end of this term. That's just one story surrounding this topic locally as you can find that news and learn more below about the dealings that have included public inquiries from a candidate and an official Sask. Party Executive meeting.
