The Outlook Fire Department recently gave out some awards for years of dedicated service to the west central fire department. At a barbecue held by the Town of Outlook, three separate awards were given out, Firefighter George King was given an award for 30 years of service, Firefighter Sean Ferguson for 20 years of service, and Fire Chief Dalas King for 20 years of service by Outlook mayor Maureen Weiterman, and Deputy Fire Chief Luke Lockhart.

Deputy Chief Lockhart said the 2021 fire year has been fairly quiet so far. 

"It's been a pretty good year. A quiet year is a good year for the fire department, not that we haven't had any calls but, very few compared to years past, which, like I said, is a good thing."
