If you want to visit someone in a hospital or care home and you're unvaccinated, it'll no longer be an issue to enter.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority just released that starting Monday, February 14th all SHA facilities will be taking down their proof of vaccination requirement and will no longer require a negative COVID-19 test for entry.

This comes after Premier Scott Moe's announcement that the entire province will be letting go of the proof of vaccination mandate as of the 14th.

"This does not mean that the COVID-19 pandemic is over but indicates a necessary transition towards living with COVID. Transmission of COVID-19 and its variants will continue to pose a risk throughout the province. Residents are encouraged to make their own personal risk assessment when accessing SHA facilities," said the SHA in their public announcement press release.

It also said that there will be no changes to the masking, screening, and family presence directives in SHA facilities.

People entering any of the facilities are still expected to wear a medical-grade face mask during the entire visit, wash their hands, answer the COVID-19 screening questions, follow Family Presence guidelines (which can be found on the SHA website), and be kind and respectful to everyone.
