West Central Athletics President Lance Morrison shared yesterday that 100 student/athletes from the 19 schools in the West Central Athletic District/Sun West School Division will be competing at the SHSAA Provincial Track and Field championships from June 2-3 at the Gordie Howe Sports Complex in Saskatoon. 

These athletes qualified for the weekend after impressive performances at Districts earlier this week.

We have covered individual performances so far this week, but taking a look at the overall team standings from Districts, there were two schools that stood out above the rest.

Rosetown Central High School finished in first place with over 700 points in part thanks to four record setting performances, including one by their senior 4x100 Meter Relay team.

Finishing a ways behind them in second, the Outlook High School still had a very impressive performance with just over 500 points. Their junior 4x100 Meter Relay team also set a record in that event.
