The latest report of calls for the Unity, Wilkie and Macklin RCMP included impaired driving charges and two motor vehicle collisions, one with a moose.

Last week Unity officers charged a 24-year-old male with impaired operation of a motor vehicle during a traffic stop, the driver also received three additional traffic tickets. Also in Unity, members received a call of a two vehicle collision near the town, the report did not include if any injuries were sustained, but did state that the incident is still under investigation.

Two incidents were reported from the Dillberry Lake area, approximately 20 minutes north of Macklin. The first report was of an individual walking on Highway 17 near the lake, however when officers arrived to the area, the subject of complaint was gone. RCMP also received a report of a vehicle collision with a moose on Highway 17, south of Dillberry Lake. No injuries were reported.

UNITY REPORTS
• CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction on Highway 14 near Unity. Reported for information purposes.
• Members acted as mediators in a family disagreement.
• RCMP received a complaint of fraud. Information sent to Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
• Police received an animal welfare concern. Information referred to Animal Protection Services.
• RCMP was dispatched by OnStar Emergency. The vehicle had been stuck but had received assistance.
• There were also two false 911 calls.


WILKIE REPORTS
• CN Police reported two railway crossing malfunctions near Landis this week. Reported for information purposes.
• RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke with family members of the subject of complaint.


MACKLIN REPORT
• RCMP received a complaint of harassing communications. This matter is still under investigation.
• Members received a request to complete a next of kin notification.
• Police received a report of an individual in medical distress. Emergency Medical Services transported the subject of complaint to Provost Hospital for assessment.
