It was an exciting morning this past Tuesday as we welcomed in a rising star in the western Canadian country music scene.

An hour on the morning show was taken over by Justin Hogg, a native of Morinville, Alberta, who was travelling through the prairies this week to promote his music on the radio. 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM was all things Justin as listeners had a chance to hear a couple of his new songs for the first time.

The big one is his new single called "Smoke Signals" which has prompted the young Canadian music artist to travel through Saskatchewan and Alberta in order to share the party anthem.

Another song we had the pleasure of hearing from Justin that morning (not to mention live!) was a brand new tune called "Country Kinda Night". Watch his in-studio live performance on the video below:

Despite hailing from a small town just north of Edmonton, Justin actually has a connection with west central Saskatchewan:

Thanks for stopping by the studio, Justin! Check out his debut single "Smoke Signals" on Google Play, Spotify, and iTunes.
