The Unity, Wilkie and Macklin RCMP released their recent report of calls for the week ending October 28, 2019.

The report outlined several minor calls including a complaint of a suspicious person at a business in Unity, of which, no police action was required after police spoke to the subject of complaint.

Other notable calls included a combine fire near Unity, RCMP stated there were no injuries and the fire was not suspicious in nature. Additionally, a 31-year-old female from Unity was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle during a traffic stop.

In Macklin, police are still investigating a break and enter at a business and responded to a complaint of fraud, however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

The remaining calls for the three detachments include:

UNITY REPORTS
• RCMP received a report of harassing communications but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
• Police received a request from Via Rail to assist in removing an unwanted passenger from the train.
• Members transported an individual to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment after receiving a Mental Health Act complaint.
• RCMP received a complaint of a missing person. Members located the subject of complaint.
• Members are investigating a complaint of trespassing.
• Members spoke to an individual regarding child custody.
• There were also three traffic complaints.

WILKIE REPORTS
• RCMP received a complaint of harassing communications but it was unfounded.
• Police received a report of individual tampering with plaques on a monument in Memorial Park in Wilkie. Reported for information purposes.
• RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats but it was unfounded.
• Members received a request to assist in removing an unwanted individual from a residence. The individual was gone on arrival.
• Police assisted Child and Family Services with a child welfare check.
• There was also one false alarm.

MACKLIN REPORT
• There was a complaint of disturbing the peace. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.
• RCMP received a report of a hit and run causing damage to a vehicle but it was unfounded.
• There was also one false 911 call.
