Back on March 13th in Kindersley, Westberry Elementary School students were visited by Saskatchewan Roughriders player Logan Ferland in a trip that meant more to the Saskatchewan born player than people would think:

The Rider Reading Program presents the opportunity for Roughriders players themselves to showcase the importance of reading in classrooms around the province. Fan-favourite Roughrider Dan Clark has been busy at work this offseason helping coordinate these efforts.

A couple more West Central towns have made the list for visits.

Back on March 21st, it was #20 Frankie Hickson visiting Davidson School. K-4 students were treated to a story time, while Hickson made sure to visit as many of the older students as possible too. Taking time to chat with people throughout the school, the Roughriders tailback likely gained himself a few new fans:

A few days later at Walter Aseltine School in Rosetown on March 24th, another Roughrider was around West Central to read to kids. Long snapper Jorgen Hus stopped by the local elementary school to the Kindergarten to Grade 3 classes. Afterwards, Hus hosted a presentation on mental health and wellbeing to the Grades 4-6 classes.

Only about a month away now from training camp, the Roughriders off-season reading program should be coming to an end soon.
