Twelve teams, including two from Kindersley, were in the field for this past weekend's Kindersley U11 Klipper tournament.

Battling things out beginning last Friday at noon, the Kindersley Minor Hockey tournament ended on Sunday with the A through D finals. The Clavet Cougars took down the Delisle Bruins to win the tournament's A Final, the B Final saw the Kindersley 2 Klippers beat the Irvine Bulldogs, the C Final was won by the Saskatoon Wild against the Kindersley 1 Klippers squad, and then finally in the D Final Warman got the win over Langham.

There was also a skills competition on Saturday night. 84 players competed in total, as Kindersley 2's Harper Peardon won Fastest Skater, Kindersley 1's Nixon Hearn won Most Accurate, and Edwin Stevens out of Clavet won the Hardest Shot. The team shootout was won by Luke Procyshen, Adyeb Carson, Beckett Yerman, and Kaiden McDonald of the Saskatoon Wild Rebels.

The above results were shared through the Kindersley Minor Hockey Facebook page. In the post, U11 KMH coordinator Krista Finley commented on what was a smooth weekend overall.

"Thank-you to our amazing rink staff! Your hard work is so appreciated. Thank you to our KMH officials coordinator, for lining up all the refs for the weekend. Thanks to the tournament committee for adding many extra touches to make our tournament memorable for the players, coaches and guests."

The sponsors were also thanked, along with everyone who played a part in making the U11 hockey tournament a "smashing success".

"Looking forward to what the rest of the season has in store."
