Members of the Highways Department have agreed with officials of the town of Rosetown on lowering the speed limit along Highway 7 west of the town.

Starting from the intersection leading into the co-op's new card-lock fuel station into the town will drop to 80 Kilometres an hour from the current 100 Kilometres an hour. The new official rule will now be in place with the signs up displaying 80 km/h.

The new signs being put up were done by members of the Highway Department.

This will help avoid people coming into the town at higher speeds, and help slow them down a lot sooner than previous times. Drivers that come into Rosetown often using this highway will have to make a change in order to avoid speeding tickets at this part of the town going forward.
