The Kindersley Sr. Klippers have a few new faces this season and we will be profiling new and old players this season on West Central Online. For our first spotlight we will start with newcomer Eric Gryba.

Gryba was born in Saskatoon on April 14, 1988 and attended Boston University for four years starting in the 2006-07 season. He was drafted after playing junior hockey in the USHL for the Green Bay Gamblers where he collected 15 points and 205 penalty minutes in 56 games. After the 2009-10 season Gryba started his professional career with the Binghamton Senators. After playing in Binghamton until 2012-13 season when he joined the Ottawa Senators for 33 games in the lockout shortened 2012-13 season.

His highest point totals were during the 2014-15 season where he collected 12 points and had 97 penalty minutes. After that season he was traded to the Edmonton Oilers and played in 53 games in the 2015-16 season. After two more seasons with the Oilers he was signed by the New Jersey Devils for the 2018-19 season where he spent most of his time playing for the AHL affiliate Binghamton Devils before retiring. His NHL totals were 7 goals and 36 assists and 368 penalty minutes in 289 games for the Oilers, Senators, and Devils.
