The Sask Junior Hockey League saw an exciting game last night, where the Battleford North Stars won against the Kindersley Klippers in a final score of 3-2.

This game marks the second victory in two days for the Battleford North Stars, bringing a successful end to the Junior Hockey League season.

In the Sask West Hockey League, the season also came to an end for the Red Lions, who lost to the Biggar Nationals 4-2 last night in Kindersley.

The game was fraught with penalties, controversial calls and near misses, which made for a very exciting game played for a packed house.

The RCHS mixed curling team finished with a noble set of games played against teams from around the province in Meadow Lake this weekend.

Saturday morning Rosetown took a loss against Debden with a score of 6-4 in the B Pool.

They later took a victory against Churchbridge, winning 8-2, but later lost to Saskatoon Walter Murray 9-5.

The Tim Hortons 2016 Brier is heating up as the Round Robin Plays move in to the Pre- Qualifying rounds.

Team Laycock from Saskatchewan lost their first game against Team Jacobs of Northern Ontario yesterday in a score of 6-5.

Laycock goes up against team Team Simmons of Canada this morning.  

Team Simmons goes in to the game with the upper hand, having won their first game against Team Menard of Quebec.
